What's on now at CBS?
The heart of Campus Bible Study is the community of Christians who gather in 2s & 3s, with small groups from their faculty, or in a large group from across the campus – lots of different formats, but one common goal: prayerfully engaging with God through his Word in order to know and serve him! We often summarise this with our mission statement:
Â
Prayerfully proclaiming the crucified Christ as Lord of all, we evangelise, teach, train and send each other, as God’s servants into all the world.
We would love you to personally invest in this same mission on campus at UNSW! Around this essential core, there are lots of activities that support and enable the work. Below are details of some current opportunities to make the most of during your time at Uni.

Plan and sign-up for Term 1 2026!!
Uni is an incredible time for Christian fellowship, evangelism, training and growth! It’s a truly unique time, and with all the opportunities at Campus Bible Study, one not to be wasted! Wherever possible, spread your CBS involvement out over a few days to help others to engage with CBS, provide more opportunities to meet and minister to others, and to help you digest and apply what you’re learning!

Summer 2026 :
Gather – Grow – Go
The start of the year is such a crucial time for our ministry as we welcome and connect with hundreds of new students! To do this, we need to be inviting students to Welcome Day, coming to Kick-On where we can be trained (and catch-up!), and serving in O-Week as we reach out to the thousands of students on campus! Even now, make sure these dates are in your diary and you plan to start 2026 on mission on campus!
Welcome Day – invite first years – Friday 6 Feb
Kick-Off – come and be trained – Saturday 7 Feb
O-Week – connect with new students – Mon-Thu 9-12 Feb

Kick-Off Conference
Come back from summer to be trained, catch-up with friends, and prepare for mission on campus! We will have a particular focus on the incredible privilege and power of prayer that drives our mission forward in dependence on our great God! At the end of the day, we will also join with many partners to commission the ministry on campus for the year!
Saturday 7th Feb : 10am – 4.30pm : $14 for the day!

O-Week Mission
Come and serve in o-week mission! It’s probably the most important week for reaching new students each year! Students are around, they are interested, and they are looking for connections. So we have a great opportunity (even responsibility!) to welcome them to Uni, show them Christ’s love, and provide a Christian community where they can explore and grow in the truth while at Uni. This is our summer mission! So lock in the dates and priorities reaching the campus as thousands of new students arrive!
Mon 9th – Thu 12th Feb
9am to 5pm each day (come for the whole time if you can!)
Plan to come and sign-up now!

Welcome Day
Please spread the word and be praying for those starting at UNSW next year! We would love to welcome them all to Uni and Campus Bible Study at our Welcome Day. It’s an excellent place for first years to meet others, find out about Uni, and be encouraged to put Jesus at the centre of the time at UNSW. A few of you might also be invited to come and help out! But we need ALL of you to help invite any new first years to come and join us!
Friday 6th February
10am-3pm @ UNSW
$30 (including lunch)

Discover Jesus
This term we are launching a new evangelistic Bible study called Discover Jesus! It will be an excellent place to bring classmates, those you meet during walk-up or at Sport and Hangs, international students and high school friends. Basically, it will be a friendly place for anyone to come and meet others, read the Bible, ask their questions and discover Jesus! They will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11-12 in the Quadrangle (when many of us have faculty Bible studies) so it will be easy to bring a friend and connect them in. If you would like to get involved or find out more, chat to any of the staff. And please PRAY and INVITE your friends to Discover Jesus!

Mission Prayer Groups
UNSW is such an immense mission field that rightly absorbs lots of our focus. But the whole world belongs to God and owes Him glory and needs Jesus. So we joyfully partner with missionaries around the world and have a number of monthly mission prayer groups that grow awareness and connection and engagement with God’s work around the world. If you’d like to find out more and join a group to pray and partner in world mission, contact one of the members below.
