What's on now at CBS?
The heart of Campus Bible Study is the community of Christians who gather in 2s & 3s, with small groups from their faculty, or in a large group from across the campus – lots of different formats, but one common goal: prayerfully engaging with God through his Word in order to know and serve him! We often summarise this with our mission statement:
Â
Prayerfully proclaiming the crucified Christ as Lord of all, we evangelise, teach, train and send each other, as God’s servants into all the world.
We would love you to personally invest in this same mission on campus at UNSW! Around this essential core, there are lots of activities that support and enable the work. Below are details of some current opportunities to make the most of during your time at Uni.
Â
MYC : 26-30 May
Rego Closes Wk 10!
myc.campusbiblestudy.org
Mid Year Conference (or MYC) is generally a highlight of the year with the rich opportunities for relationships and growth. Whether you’ve grown up in a Christian family or are just checking out Jesus, MYC will encourage, challenge and grow you in your relationship with God. And whether you know ‘everyone’ or would like to get to know a few others at Uni, MYC will help connect you with a great group of friends. Well worth the investment during your time at Uni (it is a unique blessing during these few short years!!). And if you’ve been to MYC before, join us for Pre-MYC where you can be trained and help to make MYC the incredible week that it is! myc.campusbiblestudy.org
MedYC : 20-22 June
Early Bird Closes Stuvac!
campusbiblestudy.org/medyc
Unfortunately due to the Medicine timetable, they can’t make it to MYC … so we run a condensed conference for them a month later. Registrations are open with early bird rego closing end of stuvac (3 May) and standard rego will also close in the holidays (though it is the middle of the Med Term 2! – 24 May).
MedYC is for Medicine students … but there are also some others who haven’t been able to make it to MYC who come along too. If you’re interested, chat with the staff in your ministry group.

It’s out! The timetable for Term 2 has been locked in and The Bible Talks has multiplied! We’ve struggled to get big enough rooms, so we are running more talks so more people can come (and have seats!). Think about how to use your time on campus to serve (seek to meet and speak twice a week) and train. crossangles.app is a great resource to help plan your timetable, and then you can sign-up here.
This term we are launching a new evangelistic Bible study called Discover Jesus! It will be an excellent place to bring classmates, those you meet during walk-up or at Sport and Hangs, international students and high school friends. Basically, it will be a friendly place for anyone to come and meet others, read the Bible, ask their questions and discover Jesus! They will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11-12 in the Quadrangle (when many of us have faculty Bible studies) so it will be easy to bring a friend and connect them in. If you would like to get involved or find out more, chat to any of the staff. And please PRAY and INVITE your friends to Discover Jesus!
UNSW is such an immense mission field that rightly absorbs lots of our focus. But the whole world belongs to God and owes Him glory and needs Jesus. So we joyfully partner with missionaries around the world and have a number of monthly mission prayer groups that grow awareness and connection and engagement with God’s work around the world. If you’d like to find out more and join a group to pray and partner in world mission, contact one of the members below.
